Damage Photos Of USS San Francisco Nuclear Submarine in Dry Dock

USS San Francisco Submarine Dry Dock PhotoHere is a photo of the USS San Francisco in dry dock in Apra Harbor, Guam. The submarine ran aground roughly 350 miles south of Guam on January 8th of this year. I believe one crew member was killed and a few others injured when the submarine ran aground. That is a seriously large hole in the nuclear submarine. It doesn't say whether or not that giant hole was all caused from running aground or if they already removed part of the nose cone. The images of the other side of the nose show the nose intact. If it was all caused by running aground that is some major damage. It isn't like they just went down too deep and bumped the bottom. It looks like they rammed into rocks and they hit it while they were going pretty fast too.

Check out the high resolution photo of the damaged USS San Franscisco for yourself. And another photo of the damaged nuclear sub from a different angle.
