This could only happen in Asia. In this video clip from an Asian TV show we have a lady who has trained flies. The flies are trained to roll over and the lady moves her finger around in a circle. Then the lady puts a small ball on top of the fly (which is on it's back) and the fly spins the ball around. But wait, that's not all! So first the lady does this with one fly. And then two flies. And finally there are four flies rolled over on their backs each twirling a little ball around. I don't think they are your normal house flies though. They look like some kind of wasp based on their coloring. Flies don't live long enough to train I wouldn't think but a wasp would.
Those, by the size, the proboscis and color, are "horse" or "deer" flies. They live longer than houseflies and are blood suckers. In Maine (in the US), they have "moose" flies that are much larger, too.
