There is a cat fair going on right now in Rome, Italy. It is suppost to be the cutest cats from Europe according to the caption for this photo but I don't buy it. The picture here is of a hairless cat breed and if you as me that cat is anything but cute. That cat scares me with it's evil stare. In fact that cat in the photo looks a lot like Pinky from Pinky & The Brain. When Hairless Cats Attack.
Apparently Scotland has the sword of William Wallace and it has been in Scotland for 700 years. Now for Tartan Day in the United States they are bring the sword to New York to put it on display. This sword isn't just any old sword either. Once you see the full picture of the sword you will see how big it really is. The grip on the sword could easily be twelve to eighteen inchs which would make it a two handed sword (two BIG hands) at least. You wouldn't even be able to draw a sword this big out of a scabard at your side.
The multicar F1 racing car accident in this video is pretty crazy. It all starts out when one of the cars fails to turn and runs straight into the wall on the left side of the screen. The car then kicks over to the right sign of the screen hitting that wall and I assume it was knocked there by the other cars. We can see maybe two or three different car wheels bouncing around at this point and I think I can count up to 8 different wheels bouncing around on the track. A bunch of other cars just chain reaction crash into each other and there are probably ten or so cars that get smashed up. Apparently the F1 wheels come off pretty easily because a lot of the cars in the video loose their front ones. The wheels are ripped off where they attach to the car so part of the axle is still attached to them.
Tough little table soccor style flash game. A peanut rolls back and forth in front of you and you have to flick it into a goal at the other end of the picnic table. The goal is defending by 3 chipmonks. The graphics are pretty good but the game is tough as you have to build up your shots and you don't control where the peanuts rolls.
So Masterfoods USA decided they didn't want Darth Tater to get all the action and came out with Star Wars M&Ms. The slogan is that these are dark chocolate M&Ms and the pitch being "Go to the Dark Side". The package features M&Ms dressed up as storm (or clone?) troopers and Boba (or Jango?) Fett. They didn't dress Darth Vader up as an M&M though according to the photo of the M&M wrapper. I guess a squat round Darth Vader just wouldn't be the same.
Here is a slow motion video of lightning hitting the antenna on the top of the World Trade Center. It is hard to tell at what speed the film is running at but the lightning is pretty amazing. There are also a bunch of strikes that zigzag around the sky and don't hit anything. I wonder if they had some kind of dampener connected to the antenna to absorb lightning strikes. Obviously the video was filmed before 2001.
Here we have another home made flame thrower. This one seems to be a little more advanced than the videos of the other ones we've posted previously. The flame from this one goes maybe twenty to thirty feet and the caption for the video clames they used gasoline in it verses something else. I can't really see what he is shooting the gas from as it seems like it is to much for a squirtgun. There is also no apparent lighter for it other than the flame on the ground. The camera man actually tells the other guy to stop because they have so much black smoke billowing up and they don't want the fire department to show up. Hint: Don't try this at home.
A nice top down pool game. You play against a computer player. The graphics look pretty good and it gives you a line guide to show where the ball will go and possible bounces it might have when you hit it. If you like pool you'll probably enjoy this little game for a few rounds. There are hundreds of different pools games all over the internet. Why is that? I'd have to say it is because pool tables are expensive and you can fire up a flash pool game and play without having to own and store a big pool table.
