In this video we have a magician guy doing a card trick. He has four queens in his hand facing the camera and audience. He shakes his hand four different times and each time one of the cards turns from face out to back out (so you can no longer see the card). Once all cards are back out he shows all the cards and they are four aces now. As far as I can tell the way he does the trick is one of the queens has the four Aces as part of it's stack. Each time he shakes the cards he uses his finger to move the face forward card into the central pile of cards in his hand revealing the back faced card. When he moves the first back facing card from the bottom to the front top of the cards is what gives it away.
Here is a video of Dan Schlund at a fairgrounds in Melbourne (I assume Australia). He has a rocket pack strapped to his back and they do a count down until he lifts off. I'm not sure if this is the same guy who has been doing the rocketpack deal since it was featured in James Bond or not. Anyway they count down to one and the guy lifts off and then flies up over and around above the crowd. He's up pretty high and then comes circling back down to where he took off from. The video doesn't show him landing and I'm not sure why they had the sparks going before he lifted off. He should have had some kind of LED lighting system on him.
The commentary in this video is all in French but they first show a rocket engine and a fuel tank strapped to the back of a bike. The seat has been modified and is on top of the fuel tank. It appears to be some kind of liquid rocket fuel. Anyway, a guy in a helmet and a motorcycle suit climbs onto the bike and fires the rocket off. He shoots off down the speedway trailing some thick black smoke until the rocket fuel runs out. They cut away (so we don't get to see how he managed to stop it) and show that the bike was clocked in at 140 miles an hour. That is some hefty speed for a bike.
This video is of a competition or some other show off show for chainsaws. They first start out with a chainsaw made from a motorcycle engine. Next they show a larger engine and then finally a V6 engine connected to a chainsaw. Lastly they pull out a V8 engine attached to a chainsaw with four handles. Two big beer gut guys pick up the chainsaw and cut through a four foot log in a few seconds. They demonstrate a regular chainsaw speed cutting a log of the same size and it takes a long time for it to cut through. That V8 chainsaw is crazy.
So over on Yahoo right now the most emailed photo is this photo of a chihuahua in a spiderman costume. Apparently the dog's name is "Guinness" and it is one of 256 chihuahua's that are entered into a chihuahua race to find out what is the fastest chihuahua in America. Seriously, WTF. Have you ever seen a chihuahua race? It consists of half of the dogs running in the opposite direction while the other have run to their owner who is waving some toy or dog treat at the finish line. I have might doubts that the dog that actually wins this is the fastest chihuahua in America.
And here I was convinced that cars couldn't fly where this video appears to prove me wrong. Now we've posted a similar video to this one before but this is not the same video. In the previous video the F1 car caught air, flew up, and came crashing down in the middle of the track. Not so with this new video of a F1 Mercedes which has a similar car accident. In this video the car catchs and updraft of air under it and proceeds to make multiple flips in mid air while moving off into the trees to the side of the track. When it crashs down in the middle of the trees there is a giant plume of earth that shoots up. Nice Mercedes.
In this video we have a guy wearing a Star Wars Darth Vader suit scratching on a record turn table. The song he is re-mixing is the Star Wars Imperial March. I haven't figured out if this a parody or a tribute to Star Wars yet but I'm leaning towards tribute. I'm not sure that I actually care for the re-mix of Imperial March but the video is kind of funny to say the least. You have Darth Vader scratching on a turn table instead of wielding a lightsaber and force choking people to death. Darth, I didn't know you cared.
Up for today in this video we have what appears to be a Japanese or Korean TV show where they have a group of dancers come out onto the show floor. The dancers proceed to act out the children's hokey pokey dance. Each of the dancers has their own large bag on the floor in front of them and I haven't quite figured out what is it for in the context of their dance though? Is this crap just plane weird or what? After the song is over (and it's sung in English) they switch back to Japanese/Korean. I don't think it's possible to describe some Japenese TV shows as they are just plane weird.
