Here is a slow motion video of various household objects being fired at high speed at various other household objects and shown here in slow motion. Some of the things they fire out of the cannon are beer cans, mustard jars, sausage, whipped cream containers, and paintballs. They use a little white cup inside the cannon barrel to blow out whatever it is that they are shooting out of the cannon (you see the white cup in most of the shots). When they shoot the paintballs it works like a shotgun and peppers the target. They blast a TV, a radio, melons, flower pots, flower arrangements, bottles of wine, and all kinds of other stuff with beer cans.
In this video some kids try to blow up a pumpkin multiple times with various different fireworks and fail. They use a bunch of different fireworks which are pretty colorful but just don't pack enough punch to blow up the pumpkin. They keep putting the top back on and it blows off each time but that is abou it. They even try actual firecrackers at one point and still nothing. And something else they keep doing which you probably shouldn't try at home is lighting the fireworks with a blowtorch. Yeah. That might win you a Darwin award someday.
The latest Lego build is a video of a guy who built a flame thrower out of Legos. I'm not sure how much of a part the Legos actually play in the flame thrower. I assume he has some kind of trigger or rubber bands or some such that lets whatever he is using out of it's container. I don't see that there is any lighting mechanism so he probably just used a hand lighter. The Legos are mainly just the body and handle of the flame thrower. The best part (or worst part) about it is that he is testing the flame thrower inside the house. Is this guy a runner up for a Darwin award?
Here's a short video clip of about 8 people testing flame throwers all at the same time. It's hard to tell if this is a training exercise or just a bunch of people playing with flame throwers. In any event they are in a semi-circle all firing the flame throwers up in the air towards a central point. The flame looks to be shooting a good eighty feet or more up into the air and raining flame. Farther into the video at least four of the flame throwers seem to flame out. I don't know if they changed their nozzle setting or what but some of them start blowing out mist and no flame.
Here is another video from Krazy Kooks In The Desert 2006 er I mean Burningman. There was a similar video from 2005 however in that video the fire jet just hung off a pole on a single rope. They upgraded it a bit since then and this time it is a pendulum with the fire jet swinging around up in the air on a pole. It looks like there are five burners, one up, one towards the camera, and one on either side. It seems like it is RC controlled as they shoot one side burner to swing it one way and then shoot the other side burner to swing it the other way. However the pendulum weight is also giving it some movement. It's basically a jet engine on a pendulum swinging around.
The illusionist in this video appears to walk on water in this video. It looks like he is in either Las Vegas or maybe Miami by the look of the hotel in the background. In any event he walks up to the hotel pool while holding a small video camera and while being filmed by his crew. He steps out into the water and proceeds to walk across. The from sides it really looks like he is walking on something solid an inch or so under the water. However, when it switchs to his personal camera view it looks like he is just windmilling his legs while something else moves him across. At one point someone swims under him and at another point he takes off his shoes and they sink into the water. Based on his windmilling legs I'm going with he's using some kind of wire harness.
The guy in this video is on a blocked off city street in New York or San Francisco. There are a bunch of bottles lined up in front of him on either side. He is on roller blades and has ski polls. There is what looks like a spoon attached to the outside of each of his skates. As he skates between the win bottles the handles of the spoons hit the wine bottles and play a song as the guy skates down the street. I can't tell if the bottles are open and half empty (or all empty) to achieve the different tones or not.
This video seems to be from a chopper or some other sky news camera. The screen dub is in German or Czech or some other Latin base language. At first they start out with a close up of a overturned gas big rig with some fire around it. From there the video zooms out and then the gas tanker gives in to the fire and just explodes in a huge fireball. We aren't talking your normal "wow that was a huge explosion". We're talking "holy crap that fireball is fifty stories high and just engulfed two city blocks" explosion. If you look close when the video is zoomed in you can see what looks like a parking garage which is about four stories. Now look at the fireball. Yeah.
