From the "needle in the arm ouch department" we bring you this kid who was raking leaves with a group of people when one of the leaders of the group accidently threw a knife which hit the kid right in the forehead. The leader guy was attempting to catch another kid who was falling and threw the knife away. The knife hit the second kid right between the eyebrows and stuck. Fortinately the knife didn't penetrate very deep and the kid is fine. It does make for a pretty gruesome looking X-Ray though. The kid said he didn't feel any pain from the knife just pressure. They need to check this leader guy out and see if he's really a NINJA! Maybe he was a ninja in a past life?
Ouch. That one is going to leave a mark. This photo is one of the top most emailed photos on Yahoo right now. Apparently, according to the caption of the photo, it is a photo of Chelsea Davis hitting her head on the diving board during a diving competition in Montreal. Previously I believe the caption use to say she had to have stitchs but it doesn't state that anymore. Anyway it looks like she probably stepped backwards off the board to do a dive and didn't step far enough out and therefore hit her heard. It's also possible that she did some kind of flip before coming down and hitting the board.
Having seen multiple photos and video of people in Spain getting a bull horn up the bum from an enraged bull this photo doesn't surprise me in the least. What is still amazing though is how much power the bull has which usually causes the human to go at least one or two feet in the air. In the photo pictured the guy is about one foot up in the air with the only thing holding him up is the bulls horn up his bum. Ouch. That's gotta hurt even if the end of the horns are sawed off flat. This photo is one of the most emailed photos on Yahoo right now.
This photo isn't really a car accident but it does involve a bus falling down in a sink hole (which was an accident). The photo itself shows a crane pulling the bus out of the sink hole straight up into the air. The part I find strange about this accident photo is that the sinkhole itself isn't very big around (though it does look deep). If the bus was driving along at a slow speed wouldn't it have struck the opposite side of the sinkhole and not gone straight down? Maybe the crane has already pulled the bus up high enough so that you can't tell at what angle it was at when it went into the hole.
The two cars in this car accident photo are almost stacked on top of each other. Apparently this accident happened in Australia according to the caption for the photo. The driver of the rear vehicle blacked out and rear ended the car in the front. It looks like the car in the front then rear ended another car. This caused the initial car to slide under the car on top in the photo. Surprisingly the car under the top car is pretty intact. It didn't suffer that much damage as the driver and passenger area of the car are still intact.
The most emailed photo on Yahoo right now is this photo of a 3 year old in Vietnam. According to the caption for the photo Xuan Minh is suffering from birth defects caused by Agent Orange. April 30th, 2005 was 30 years since the end of the war in Vietnam. I don't know what to say other than wow that's pretty scary. You don't even want to search on the Yahoo image search for Agent Orange.
According to the caption for this car accident photo a couple of young guys were trying to show off this Ferrari and crashed into some parked cars. I think the amazing thing about the accident in this photo is how much damage the Ferrari did to the other vehicles (and the streetlight). The car in front of the Ferrari is basically squished with the Ferrari driven up inside the back of it. While the Ferrari itself looks relatively undamaged. I believe the squished car looks to be some type of small hatchback car. There is a second picture from the side which also gives you a better idea of how well the Ferrari survived the crash.
Alot of these car accident photos have one root cause for the car accident. That cause being the driver stepped on the gas instead of on the brake which caused them to crash into something. I wonder if there have been any studies done in regards to positions of the pedals on the floorboard. Additionally, some kind of automated object detection system that warns the driver of an impending crash might help as well. The Audi in this accident photo was driven by a student driver in a parking lot in Norway who hit the gas instead of the brake. The cars usually come out of these kinds of accidents pretty well but the store is just destroyed.
