I have no idea if this video is from Russia or not but it sounds good. Anyway this video is pretty slow except for the two or three seconds where the ice sculpture turns into so many ice cubes. A guy with a chain saw walks around cutting the supports out from under the ice sculpture until he cuts the last one and it comes crashing down. Another guy follows him and throws the cut supports out of the way though I am not sure why. It isn't vandalism as there seems to be a crowd (re: camera flashs) watching the guy bring it down. I assume they were either done with the ice sculpture or they wanted to make room for a new one.
So you may have seen the self replication robot cube video and this video is a somewhat more practical application of a similar idea. In this video it starts out with a chair sitting in the middle and then the chair falls apart onto the floor. Next up the chair starts to re-assemble itself automatically (as in it's a robot chair). The seat of the chair puts out some wheels and then moves around re-attaching the legs and back of the chair to itself. Finally, the chair stands up back into it's regular chair shape all by it's self. I couldn't come up with a real world application where you would need a robot chair to assemble itself because the materials involved are so much greater than say a molder plastic chair. It's rather Jetsonesque though.
Here is a "music video" done to the pirate song "Row" by Silverbones. They use a collage of various pirate artwork and pirate themed photos to create the video. It's a little strange and there is more of a narrative than an actual song going on. It also looks to be a collaboration between various pirate sites like "Dead Men Tell No Tales", "Don Maitz Art", and "Silverbones". The pirate art from Don Maitz is pretty cool looking but I've heard better pirate tunes.
The guy in this video does an illusion where it looks like he has created an anti gravity device out of a milk crate. There is a black bottom, a black bar across the crate from one corner to another, a gamepad hooked up to the black bar, and a string tied to the other two corners of the crate. The guy steps into the crate and picks up the controller. He proceeds to rise up out of the box so it looks like there is maybe 2 inchs between his feet and the bottom of the box before 'landing' again. Next up he puts the rope around his shoulders and this time the whole box lifts up so it is maybe two inchs off the ground (and this time he is standing on the bottom of the box).
So apparently the guy being interviewed in this video is Frank Chu and he regularly protests in down town San Francisco. During the interview there are a bunch of catcalls and horn honking so I'm not sure if there was other protestors besides this guy or not. It is like listening to a random word generator as he throws out all kinds of science fictionish words over and over (the same kind of stuff that is written on his sign there) as well as name dropping various famous people's names. In the last couple minutes of the interview he started repeating the same sets of word combinations over and over though. The interviewer appears to pay him (or at least tip him) for giving the interview after it is over.
Here is a short video which documents a few 'traps' you can setup around your house to stave off a ninja attack. The first thing they list is that ninjas can pick your lock so you could hook up jumper cables to the inside to ward them off. Second up if you set crossword puzzles around the house (according to to video) ninjas can't help but stop and attempt to solve them. Third, the video claims ninjas are incredibly stupid and won't be able to see through simple disguises such as a wig+sunglasses. Lastly, a simple 'no ninjas' sign will keep them away. Right. Okay then.
Here is a machinima film of the age old 'Little Red Ridinghood' story. Little Red Ridinghood is given the task of taking some medicine to her grandmother who lives in the woods. While traveling through the woods she meets a wolf who goes on ahead of her to grandmother's house. The wolf gobbles up grandmother and then sets a trap for Little Red Ridinghood. When Little Red Ridinghood gets there the wolf gobbles her up as well. A woodsman happens along, kills the wolf, and saves grandmother and Little Red Ridinghood. It was filmed using the video game, 'The Movies'.
The woman in this video takes one of those balloons that you make balloon animals out of and swallows the entire balloon. This is pretty similar to swallowing swords except that she puts the whole balloon down instead of stopping at the hilt and pulling the sword back out. The video doesn't show her talking the balloon back out. The question I have is if you have ever played with those balloon animal balloons you know that they can constrict at one end to be shorter and did that happen here?
