Here's an interesting video which uses a bunch of facts to lead up to the main point of the video which is the coming singularity. The singularity is supposidly the point where change is happening so fast that we won't be able to imagine what will happen from our present perspective.

Here is a video of a "prototype" tractor that was (is?) being developed by a defunct John Deere subsidiary. It looks a lot like some kind of insect with six legs�or a lot like that mondo spider video we posted the other day. According to some of the comments with the video they were developing it for use in low impact logging but it really moves very slow. I can't see it being practical moving that slow (though that mondo spider moved pretty fast). The kid in this video is possibly a secret disguised ninja as she captures the "cup stacking" world record in 7.43 seconds. Who knew there was a cup stacking record anyway. In any event, first she stacks up a large stack in the middle and two small stacks. After breaking those down she stacks two large stacks and breaks them down again. Finally she stacks one extra�large stack in the middle. These are plastic drinking cups like you would buy in the store. Super crazy secret ninja or little kid? You decide.

Here is a time lapse video of a guy who calls himself The Flowergod. In this video he takes a pumpkin and makes a flower arrangement in the pumpkin. The trick is that the video is sped up 6 times so he makes it super fast. There are at least seven or eight other videos that he has done with various other flower arrangements. It's crazy to watch the flower arrangement go from nothing to a full on professional arrangement in under a minute. Apparently he also�has a full on site with normal speed instructional version of the videos here.

A guy build a moving stargate out of legos and has a bunch of photos to show for it. Unfortinately there doesn't seem to be a video of the starget in action. However, he has the starget hooked up to a RCX treadmill (whatever that is) which spins the stargate around for a random number of seconds and repeats that seven times. The chevrons (the little red things on the gate) have LED lego blocks in them which light up as well. Legos seem to be a pretty way to fast prototype things based on some of the other projects I've seen done with them.

Line Rider is not a game but a toy according to the author. Basically you take a pencil and draw curves and lines on a white background. You can then press play and it launchs a guy on a sled into your line drawing. The sled slides down the lines. If you make them too steep the guy crashs. If you make them too flat he just comes to a hault. If you make them just right you can get a crazy rollercoaster going on. In the video below the Line Rider guy slides around on the lines for 1 minute and 44 seconds. He ends up in a line drawing of a helicopter. There was another video where the guy is moving so fast that be blasts through the lines themselves.

Here is a commercial for a taco fast food place which features a monkey cowboy. The monkey is dressed as a cowboy and he rides around on a dog who has a horse like color pattern. It's hard to tell if the monkey is actually controlling the dog (which I doubt) or the monkey is just hanging on while the trained dog runs around for the commercial. The video is set to a salsa music soundtrack and they have galloping sounds dubbed in for the running dog. The premise of the commercial seems to be that they deliver food really fast as the cowboy monkey blazes by people and leaves them their food.

In this video the guy has a steel wool wire setup which he lights on fire and swings around. It starts out slow but ramps up pretty quick until he is throwing huge whirls of sparks all over the place including over twenty feet in the air. Fourth of July pinwheels have nothing on this super sparkler pinwheel. I'd go as far as to say this video is better than the fire whip jump rope video we featured recently. It's hard to tell if the fire wire is throwing off more sparks when it is hitting the ground or it is just burning faster.

The guy in this video has a glass miror with two ball bearings on top of it. The ball bearings have been electric welded togather and the guy starts them spinning. He then uses a pen tube to blow down on top of them causing the ball bearings to spin even faster (up to 10,000 RPMs). Next up he takes various key chain LEDs and holds them around the ball bearings. The bearings reflect the light from the LEDs�causing them to look like neon spiral tubes. Next up he does a similar illusion with 4 clear plastic marbles which have been fixed togather in a pyramid. He spins them like a top and blows on them to speed it up. Again he takes the LEDs and holds them around it to produce a neon light tube�effect.

Up for today we have two different videos with one featuring 20,000 bottle rockets being shot off (plus 16,000 firecrackers) and the other featuring 16,000 bottle rockets all being shot off at once. In the first video which has the firecrackers it starts with them lighting it up and then running back. Their description of the video is "It starts slow and then turns into Vietnam" which is apt since when it really starts to go off they end up running away from it as fast as they can (warning: language). The second video goes into more detail showing the bottle rockets they bought before they take them out and setting them all off (via sparklers). Neither of them have a very good video camera setup.
